Hello,
Thunderbird 3 has a really nice feature where you can archive an email and it is automatically placed in a folder called Archives/ (I think Opera has this feature as well), the sub folder is created automatically. This makes it pretty easy to browse your archived emails based on year, obviously. I really like this feature and was wondering if there is anyway to replicate it in KMail. Thanks. |

You can for example use a folder's "expire" setting to copy/move mails over a certain age to an archive folder.

I know of this feature but the automatic sorting into folder is what I am not sure about. |

I don't think it can switch destination folder based on year yet.
You'll probably have to switch to a new folder manually when the end of the year is reached. Cheers, _
