Have you installed the Google Resource anew with KDE 4.4? It isn't included in the KDE SC distribution at this time.

Bumping an old thread rather than start another. I have managed to get two-way sync-ing of KOrganizer and google calendar using akonadi-googledata and libgcal. BUT this method only allows me to sync one google calendar. Given the way google calendar works (with different calendars for different event types ie reminders, internal meetings, external meetings, social events etc) this is pretty much useless. Is there a way to add multiple google calendars? Also I agree with the point above on semantics. The whole akonadi thing sounds extremely complex to me and I avoided it for a long time as a result. |

..bumped again.
Without support for multiple calendars in a google account, this is not very useful. |

Just create the akonadi resources for google services thru kontact, not from the akonadi configurator. It worked for me with KDE 4.6 in openSUSE 11.4
Símplemente crea los recursos de los servicios de googles desde kontact, no desde la consola de configuración de akonadi. Funcionó para mí con KDE 4.6 en openSUSE 11.4 Saludos / See ya |

I have this working - take a look at this post.
Hopefully there's enough info to get you up and running.
