When pressing Check Mail for my GMail IMAP account (using Google Apps, this is not the regular GMail) it sometimes pops up with this error message:
![]() I'm not sure what triggers it, and sometimes it becomes unresponsive in the sense that clicking Check Mail no longer does anything. (Note that my server settings and authentication details are correct as it has been able to check email with it - the appearance of this error is rather sporadic) Any ideas?

This is because the folder in question isn't a full folder, and cannot have mails, etc stored in it. Therefore KMail has some problems when it tries to read the number of unread mails likely. The only thing you can do is ignore them as far as I am aware ( my IMAP server suffers from this also )

You need to select the folder, right click then go on properties and then unckeck "check email for this folder".
