I'm currently running KOrganizer 4.1, and managed to get all of the calender events synched used GCALDaemon (see this thread-kontact-and-google-t-61808.html), which makes me happy. However, KOrganizer ToDos and Google Calender Tasks do not sync in the slightest. is there a way around this? Has it been fixed in a newer version?

anything about this? |

Unfortunately it does not appear so. Support for this would need to come from GCALDaemon.

Actually, we could probably solve it with a caldav set of resources/akonadi agents. I would imagine they have greater support for that. I don't know though how well google calendar is going to be for tasks as it's a calendar, just like any other. So I don't know if undated todo's would work

To get things moving, should we consider Mozilla Thunderbird with Lightning to access/update Google calendars? I know we are die-hard fans for K; but KOrganizer has not been living up to cloud expectations.

I don't know, google calendar itself isn't good for todos unless you know something I don't. I've switched to RTM myself and am waiting for either the abiility to build or some opensuse packages for the rtm akonadi thing. For calendar, gcaldaemon and korganizer are working just fine, except for the issue with recurrance. |

I'm not sure how you can say that gcaldaemon is working fine -- maybe for you, but not for a whole lot of others. Take a look at comment #33 at KDE bugs: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125952#c33 As far as I know none of these bugs have been worked on. I would really like to see someone else take on this project, as I also believe that Korganizer has fallen way behind in it's development. |

I'm comparing gcaldaemon to the last akonadi-google calendar resource I had sucessfully working. I would much prefer that with tasks working or a remember the milk resource that works.
