Hi,
My exchange mail account has been moved to a new server. After that I edited my account in Kmail to reflect the new server address but kmail is not connecting. It says connection to account is broken. Is it possible to just move to another server or do I have to remove add my account again. I use disconnected IMAP.

Please ensure that the Exchange server has IMAP support enabled.
Please also ensure the correct authentication types have been selected in KMail, the ports are correct, and your credentials are correctly entered ( they may have been damaged when you changed the settings ) If these fail, please try creating a new account with the appropriate settings and see if it works then.

Only thing changed was the server name , nothing else. But kmail is not taking the changed server name. It tries to connect and says connection broken.

Unfortunately due to the uniform nature of forum notifications they get recognised as spam by many providers. There is little we can do to avoid that.
Interesting.... never encountered this problem before. Try changing the name of the connection in order to cause KMail to regenerate the configuration entries. ( This is the name used in the "Check mail" drop down and for the root folder )
