Kmail 1.12.0, KDE 4.3 RC2
I recently started using Kmail in the office for my emails instead of outlook and I think I'm missing something. When I get a new email which belongs to an old thread (let's say two weeks old), the new email appears at the end of the thread, but the thread itself doesn't move to the top of the list, and neither is the thread marked as having an unread item in it, so when I get a new email, unless it's one that doesn't belong to any thread, I have to go hunting for the email. Also, since all threads are collapsed when starting Kmail, hunting emails that arrive on startup can be quite a task. My question is: have I missed any setting or am I looking for something that doesn't exist? I tried looking at all the settings and search online, but I seem to be the first person who have that problem (or who think it's a problem). Thanks, Golan. |

While I am not aware of any such setting, I always use the "goto next unread message" feature, default shortcut "+"

Thanks for your reply. All though this is not perfect this better than scanning all threads and I was aware of the shortcut.
I'll open a feature request on the KDE bug tracker anyway. |

Well, kmail is going to be ported to akonadi. In akonadi you will be able to create virtual folders, so a folder for all new messages would be an easy task
