[kmail] unread mails in bold?

Is there any way to configure kmail so that unread emails appear in bold?
I use Kmail 1.11.4 from kde 4.2.4

I like this from thunderbird. For me, it's easier to see.

In Settings -> Configure KMail -> Appearance -> Fonts tab, check the Use custom fonts option, then in the Apply to: list, choose "Message list - Unread Messages".

I have changed "unread messages" and/or "new messages" in settings, and kmail shows without bold.

Do you know why?

Weird.. theoretically it should work. Don't know why it isn't working. Perhaps it got messed up in the transition from KDE 3. Can't find any existing bug report though.

You are right. The problem is a bug in kmail:
