KMail Dictionaries (SOLVED)

Wed Aug 12, 2009 2:34 am
Hi,
This is my first post on here.
I really enjoy KDE and everything about it.

I write emails in two languages - English and (Brazilian) Portuguese. Although I could easily find how to change the Spellchecker dictionary, the default languages are six versions of English, Hebrew and Turkish.
I have tried and tried but cannot find a way to insert a Portuguese dictionary in there.
Could anyone tell me how to install different languages in KMail?
Thanks

I believe you need to install the appropriate aspell-* packages for the desired languages, which should make them available.

In any case, unrelated to KOffice, moved to a better forum: "Office and productivity".

Great, that worked. Thanks.
For any (like me) total newbies who end up here;
- Get aspell from your package manager. Just type in 'aspell' and scroll down to your desired language.
- You have to close and restart KMail for it to register.
