Hi, I'm a long time kde user and the only issue I'm having with kde SC 4 since kde 4.2 is that Akonadi always crashes on start-up. I'm using Arch-Linux. Akonadi just crashes.
This is my error log:
I can't figure what is wrong why akonadi or MySQL. Thanks in Advance.

Seems MYSQL doesn't like the options in the config file.
It looks really weird because all options in that line it complains about are also listed in the line where it suggests alternatives. The only difference is that the values in the config are all lower case while the ones from the suggested alternatives are all upper case. You can try modifying /home/pirata/.local/share/akonadi/mysql.conf such that option sql_mode= is only followed by upper case characters Cheers, _

Incredible!
One would expect that an enterprise level software like MySQL would either handled that gracefully or at least provide a more precise error message. Well, good thing to know at least. Cheers, _
