Hi guys.

After latest "yum upgrade", kmail no workie.

The error is:

kmail: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/libkde3support.so.4: undefined symbol: _ZN19K3MimeSo5rceFactoryD1Ev

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

It could be that you didn't update one of the libraries KMail uses. That could be solved by running yum upgrade again (I use openSUSE, so I don't know yum, but this could work).

Thanks. I tried that first thing, but no joy.

Obviously a dependency issue in the upgrade. Probably a 'yum reinstall' of whatever packages kmail belongs to would do it. I'm not sure which packes to reinstall though, and I really don't want to reinstall all of KDE as its my production work environment.

Thx

In addition, try updating the KDELibs package, as that ships libkde3support.

Reinstalling the libs fixed the problem.

Many Thanks!
