Here is my problem:
I run KDE 4.3.1 on a Gentoo notebook and want to export some items of my calendar (Kontact/KOrganzier).
to achieve that

• I created a filter (on "education") and applied it.
• In the calendar view everything seems to be fine, only the desired items are shown.
• I selected File/Export and saved it to a file.
• For checking, I added the new file as additional ressource
• and deselected the filter

The result is always, that every item of my calendar has been duplicated. The dups disappear when I deselect the additional (exported) resource.

When I open the ical file with kate I also can see that every item has been exported.


Does anyone know what could cause this behaviour?

It is likely that the export procedure does not respect the filters in use. I was unable to find bug reports about this on bugs.kde.org, so you are welcome to file a bug report at bugs.kde.org aganist KOrganizer.

Further testing showed: When I export to HTML everything looks as it should, meaning the filters are taken into account.

Is there anything special I should take care of? Any files to attach?

No attachments should be needed. As long as you state that ical is unfiltered but HTML is filtered, then it should be fine.
