Hi!
As I gave KDE 4.3.3 another try (it works much faster than before) I found a problem: I have copy of /home/.kde where are all settings for KMail from KDE3, folders, emails, filters... Is it okay if I just copy folders, emails, *.rc to the .kde4, please and it will work? Or are there any better way? Thanks in advance. |

Try backing up, copying them over and seeing what happens
![]() I know I was able to migrate the mail, but I did it a long time ago, so I can't remember how exactly I did it. Not sure about the settings, though...

The answer depends in part, I think, on your distribution. Some distros copy across the necessary files, some continue to use the files in the original folders. I'm pretty sure you are unlikely to cause any problems by copying the files across. In case you need a checklist, read http://userbase.kde.org/KMail/FAQs_Hint ... #Migration

It works: I just copied folders from old kde3 to kde4.
Thank you for help. |
