Hi,

When I open Kontact in the morning the disk starts grinding like some major file operations are being done. It's the same kind of grind you see when copying a lot of files. It goes on for 5 - 10 minutes. During this time Kontact is very sluggish, but otherwise it's working fine. I have around 50K mails stored in maildirs, one active pop3 and one IMAP account. What could be causing this disk grinding?

how large is the files that its processing?
