IMAP push in kmail?

I have heard about a protocol called IMAP-PUSH that apparently automatically updates local email clients when a message arrives on the server. Does kmail support this? I had read somewhere that it does but haven't been able to find any related option.

This will be available in KDE 4.5, courtesy of Akonadi. The Akonadi port to KMail will be merged then.
