Kmail - Postpone e-mail sending

Wed Jan 27, 2010 1:38 am
Hi!

It is possible to postpone the sending of mails with Kmail?

I.e., I'd like to write a message now and order to send it in two hours or on next day at a fixed time.

If that is no possible, what about the take this as an implementation into Kmail?

Thanks in advance for suggestions.

KMail offers an option called "Send it later". It's on a pop-up window displayed when you're trying to send a message. Unfortunately AFAIK it only puts your message in a folder "For sending" from which you'll have to do it later manually.

Achilleus,

Thanks for your posting!
Actually I know this send option. It's the same like saving a message as draft. Truly I'd like nor keeping in my mind, I have to post some mails and the corresponding time or fix a corresponding reminder task in Kalender.

I know, the option I wish, is rarely offered, but from Groupware (house Novell). Since Novell active supports openSUSE, I think, it could be possible to implement that in Kmail ...

Bye.
