LDAP Address Books

Mon Feb 15, 2010 2:28 pm
Hi,

I am trying to connect to an LDAP address book using Akonadi.

I've triple checked my settings, and they work in something like phpldapadmin

But I keep getting the following error -:

LDAP server returned the error: No such object
Additional info:
The LDAP URL was: ldap://192.168.1.1:389ou=Contacts,dc=domain,dc=com??one

LDAP address books used to work fine in KDE3, but I have never got them working in KDE4

I'm on KDE 4.4 currently.

I asked someone about this. He said add a Standard Addressbook - the wizard should start up, and one of the options will be LDAP, then you point it to the location of the existing LDAP addressbook. He said that he had needed some info, he thought it was "things like Bind DN and DN" which he got from his sysadmin.

Yeah I've gone through the wizard etc a few times now, and no joy.

I know all my setting are correct (bind dn etc) as they work with phpldapadmin.
