Can somebody, please, explain to me what are the boxes on top of the KOrganizer main view window (Week View, one box above every week day) and how to get rid of them? I have been using KOrganizer for years and I still have no idea what the boxes are for.

Ah - now I understand. Those are where to-dos appear as they become due.

I normally do not assign a date and time to to-dos, so nothing ever shows up in the boxes.

I don't think you can remove them. Perhaps you should file a bug/wish requesting configurability of that feature?

How do I submit such a request?

You go to bugs.kde.org. You will need to create an account - not a big deal - then you fill it in like a bug report. There's a drop-down list at one point (I can't remember exactly when) where you can set whether it is a crash, a bug or a wish.
