Hi, how does one get Kmail to recognize a printer? I'm running PC-BSD 8.0 with KDE 3.5, and have an HP Deskjet that runs well from Open Office or Abiword. But for some reason, when I try to print a message from Kmail, my only choices are to print to a PDF or Postscript file. I cannot seem to find a configuration choice that covers this, can someone tell me what I'm missing?
Thanks in advance. |

In a browser window, type 'localhost:631'. That takes you to the CUPS configuration screen. If you can't see your printer there, add it. If you can, try System Settings > Printer Copnfiguration. Check that the printer is visible and set up correctly. Usually the problem is in one of those places.

Hmm...when I turned the system back on this morning, Kmail had a new entry for the printer, and it worked. Strange, Windows-like behavior...but now it works, thanks for the help!
