Hi,
i am having the following problem: I am subscribed to a lot of mailing list which generate a considerable amount of mail each day. Mail i only read occasionally. I have a number of filters set up to move this mail out of my inbox into special folders in my imap account. So far so good. However, the current behavior of KMail is to notify me of new mail first, and then look for matching filters. As a result, about 95% of the new mail notifications i get from kmail are phony, because by the time i tab-switch to kmail the new mail has already been filtered out and there is nothing left. What i would want to do is to tell KMail to only notify me of new mail when all filters have already been applied, because only the mails which remain after filtering require immediate attention. Is there a way to do this which i have overlooked so far? Thanks in advance for your help. |
