I am using Kontact 1.4.2 in Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04 64bit. When I ask Kontact to print a particular event, all I get is the event time, and the boxes titled "Location", "Notes" and "Description" are all empty, even though at least two of them have data and I can see the information on the screen (or the edit event window).
Has anybody else experienced this problem. Are there any solutions or workarounds. At present I just cut and paste the description into Gedit (a text editor) and print it from there as a text file. But that is so "old-worldly". Thanks, JMB |

I'm on 4.3.5 and that prints everything - at least in the print preview. Are you using a very early version of KDE4 Kontact or a KDE3 version?

I am using (according to Kontact -> About): Version 1.4.2 KDE personal information manager (C) 2001-2008 The Kontact developers (although Synaptic reports it as 4:4.2.2 I wish the developers would fix the Kontact -> "About" display) within K Desktop Environment Version 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2) (which appears to be the latest available package in Ubuntu Jaunty (9.04) 64 bit repos.) Hope this answers your question. I hope I do not have to install kontact outside of using the Ubuntu repos. Thanks for your assistance. JMB |
