Hi!

I use KDE 4.4.3 now but the problem is with KDE 4 all the time.
I have pop filters on KMail and everything works good except when I have a n email for which one I don't have a filter and it download in Inbox. Those downloads are very slow and I cannot do anything with KMail.

It's a known problem, caused by searching your addressbook, checking for matches. Unfortunately it can't be fixed in the current version, but will not occur when KMail2 comes out, later this year, all being well.

I am running KDE 4.7.3 and the problem with KMail exist still.

Is it time to switch to Thunderbird?

Filtering occurs out of process now , so I'm unsure if it's the same ptoblem.
