i am new to this forum and as many users i am having some issues with akonadi.

I Use archlinux 64bit / Kde 4.4.3, and i had no problem with akonadi for months. All of a sudden when i opened kontact which i use all the time, akonadi started complaining with many errors.

I decided to do a workaround that had helped me in the past :

akonadictl stop
rm  -r ~/.local/share/akonadi/db_data
akonadictl start

buy this time my problems keep existing.

After the above commands, idecided to remove everything that had to do with akonadi

akonadictl stop
rm -r .local/share/akonadi
rm -r .config/akonadi
rm .kde4/share/config/*akonadi*
akonadictl start
mysql_upgrade --socket=$HOME⁄.local⁄share⁄akonadi⁄db_misc⁄mysql.socket


When i start akonadi with akonadictl start, there is no problem at all, BUT if i start it from configuration utility or by opening kontact, it keeps complaining about resource agents.

Any explanation why it starts normaly from terminal but not via the utility or kontact?

in both the above solutions i forgot to write the command:

mysql_install_db --datadir=$HOME/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/

i deleted all the resources leaving only "local folders", and my problem keep existing.

I created new resource files for calendar(I now have both my traditional and a new akonadi calendar) and addressbook and it seems to be working perfectly now.
