Hi,
I use KMail 1.13.3 in Debian Testing (KDE 4.4.3) -. In my KDE Resources i have the next: http://i49.tinypic.com/2u7ubsp.png -. and in my rcconf i have deselected "mysql" daemon. With these 2 steps i have made that Akonadi and mysqld are not present in the start of the session. Here is my problem: I start Debian with 230 MB of RAM. Meanwhile i don't start KMail, Akonadi and mysqld won't be running. If i open KMail, Akonadi and mysqld start working so my RAM earns lot of MB (~100). When I close KMail these processes are still running, altought i don't need them anymore. Is there any way of closing Akonadi and mysqld automatically when i close KMail ? Thanks, |

Whilst there is not an automatic way, running "akonadictl stop" will cause Akonadi to shut down.
Note that the memory use by Akonadi reported by applications such as top is false, please use an application such as Exmap to determine its actual memory usage, as top and like utilities do not take into account library sharing.
