Hi!
I have an Exchange server that keeps an addressbook which I can access through LDAP and I can see all the fields with JXplorer. I added an LDAP addressbook to Kontact in KDE 4.4.3, entered host, port, username, password and it even pulled a DN from the server all right. But when I tried to search in this addressbook, I saw nothing at all and on the console there was this: kontact(13799)/kio (KDirWatch) KDirWatchPrivate::removeEntry: doesn't know "/home/serge/.kde4/share/apps/kabc" kontact(13799)/kdepimlibs (kabc): "Server error LDAP: Operations error Additional Info: 00000000: LdapErr: DSID-0C090627, comment: In order to perform this operation a successful bind must be completed on the connection., data 0, vece URL LDAP: ldap://10.61.10.18:3268DC=lan, DC=megafonkavkaz,DC=ru??sub" kontact(13799)/kdeui (kdelibs): No such XML file "/home/serge/.kde4/share/apps/kontact/local-kaddressbook.rc" Can anyone explain why this happens?

The problem might be on the credentials that you provided.
The first DN that you pulled might be pulled by anonymous logon, but MS Active Directory requires that a successful logon with valid domain user/credentials must be performed before you can browse the AD. Make sure that your username is in the format DOMAIN/username and try again. |

I entered it as DOMAIN\user, so there must be different reason for the error. ![]()

The LDAP URI appears to be invalid...
According to http://java.sun.com/products/jndi/tutor ... c/url.html shouldn't it be:

Hah! This is rather strange. I have all the fields typed in correctly so it seems that kabc (or whatever) does not add an extra slash. I added it myself before the DN but I am still getting
I should mention that if I type in a true OpenLDAP server address, it works even if it does not show this required slash. So the reason must be something else.
