Hello everyone!
I know that there's already an Akonadi resource to keep in sync kontact with gmail contacts, but anybody knows if there's anything similar for Yahoo? Recently Yahoo added a feature to import contacts from facebook account, and now I have a fresh address book on my Yahoo account automatically filled with the details of all my "friends" from facebook. Quite cool indeed, since it seems to stay in sync with any change from facebook: if a friend of mine changes his/her email address on facebook, I get the updated address automatically on my Yahoo address book. It would be even better if we could also sync kontact address book with yahoo address book... is it possible? ![]() I'd be really happy with this feature, since I could get the same address book also on my laptop, home desktop and pc at work: great! ![]() regards gerlos

Does Yahoo offer a method ( either a Yahoo specific API ) or a standard contact file to access your information? If a Yahoo specific API is available, then developing an Akonadi resource would be possible. For the standard contact file, it is just a matter of configuration.

I asked Google, and got this page:
![]() http://developer.yahoo.com/addressbook/ It seems they give us an API for doing queries, updates and sync. Actually, the address book of Mac Os X has features to sync with yahoo: http://5thirtyone.com/archives/1871 I've seen it in action, there's people that use this feature to sync their Yahoo and Gmail address books. I'm not a developer, but reading that pages from Yahoo it seems that everything is well documented. Hope I'll see a new Akonadi Resource soon!
