KMail and GMail read inbox messages

Thu Jul 22, 2010 12:55 pm
The KMail does not mark the message that I've read because whenever I use gmail webmail the message is still unread. And this is also the case for deleting a message. The message is still there in gmail webmail.

btw, I'm using KMail 1.13.3 of KDE4.4.4.

In the account settings for your gmail account, you have to set the trash to the remote trash folder of gmail (it's on the second tab, called "IMAP setting" in English I suppose).

Thanks.

But the gmail only supports POP protocol. My account is currently setup to use POP.

GMail also supports the IMAP protocol. See http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answ ... swer=75725
