Okay, I was just adding a new event in my Kontact Calendar.
When I was giving it a category, I noticed a strange category that I don't know where it comes from. Check this screenshot: http://imagebin.ca/view/A96XNVg.html Can someone please tell me where the http: and google category may come from? I've certainly not added it myself, and it was not there by default.

Did you try to use the Google Calendar or Google Contact resources at any point in time?

Ah, didn't think of that one. But no, I have never tried to use it. I only know of its existence.

If you use GCalDaemon, it could possibly come from it somehow... ( not sure if the *.*cal files can store tags/categories... )

Hadn't even heard of GCalDaemon to tell the truth, but I've managed to find the culprit now. At least I think so...it hasn't showed up again so far anyway. First I though, hey no big deal. Just delete the offending event from within Kontact and all is well. No such luck. I could delete it, but it was re-created as soon as I restarted Kontact. Then when I was looking for something else in my calendar I noticed things I had forgotten about. Or rather: hadn't thought of as the possible cause of the problem. I had downloaded a .ics file to keep track of the dates of the FIFA-worldcup dates. It was stored locally so that's why it didn't register as the possible cause. Once it was removed, the problem went away. That being said, maybe I was blind but I couldn't find a way to remove an imported calender from within Kontact. I had to manually edit /home/user/.kde4/share/config/kresources/calendar/stdrc to get rid of it.

Glad to hear it is now fixed.
Those calendars can be managed within System Settings, using the KDE Resources module, although it should be possible to do it in Kontact ( can't remember how though )
