Hello,
i've done a KDE update from 4.3.5 to 4.4.4. Everything seems OK except for the PIM. Here i have troubles. After Akonadi starting, Kontact starts too. I can recieve E-Mails but it is impossible to send an E-Mail. Kontact is doing nothing and later i get error Messages from akonadi.The same happens with my adressbook.

I think the trouble is that the Akonadi server process and the control process is not registered at D-Bus. Another trouble is that there are no resource agents found. (Environment variable XDG_DATA_DIRS is set to '/usr/share:/etc/opt/kde3/share:/opt/kde3/share)
During the KDE upgrade process everything worked fine. No conflicts, no dependency problems with packets.

My Operating System is:
openSUSE 11.2 (x86_64)
4.4.4 (KDE 4.4.4) "release 5"


Can you help me to fix this setup Problem?
Or is it possible or maybe a good advice to downgrade KDE to 4.3.5 again?

I have done a downgrade to Kontact Version 4.3.5.
The rest of the system i've left on KDE 4.4.4.
It seems that it works fine. I can send E-Mail again and my adressbook works too.

I will leave this untouched until i have more information alternatively have a solution. I see many people with the same or similar trouble in forums.

The 'not registered at D-BUS' is typically associated with Apparmor. Take a look at http://userbase.kde.org/Akonadi_4.4/Tro ... g#Apparmor

The second problem is 'No resource agents found.
