Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable

The packages you are trying to install come from a system which builds the latest packages.

Therefore, to fix this you likely simply need to update your repositories by running "apt-get update" as root.

Then try to install kdepim again.

Ok I have tired this. I think I have a few problems with packages that won't update that have unmet dependancies or something. Don't know if this is why kdepim won't install. Here's the full output from the terminal when I run apt-get update, apt-get upgrade and apt-get install kdepim as roo:

BusyBox v1.10.2 (Debian 3:1.10.2.legal-1osso30+0m5) built-in shell (ash)

That sounds like you may have the wrong line in your repository list. You should have components "unstable" (or whichever you use) as well as "extras" enabled. IIRC, the latter was the result of a reorganization, and I initially missed that memo as well.
If that's not the case, then I'm not sure off the top of my head. If it is the case, where did you get the install instructions from? If they haven't been updated, someone should do that.

I just deleted the repo I had for KDE PIM and re-added it using the instructions here:

http://files.kolab.org/local/maemo/README.html

I followed the following instruction:

"To install unstable section use http://files.kolab.org/local/maemo/inst ... le.install file"

I clicked on the click and then installed the packages. I noticed this added a repo called "maemo Extras-Devel" or something as well as the one I deleted. This is may be where the errors where coming from. Oh yeah and I missed the bit at the bottom about adding the key manually at the bottom of the page first time around so I've done that now and now its installing with no errors. Thanks for your help! :)
