I have set up KOrganizer so that it synchronises with a ics-file via ftp. This works fine but everytime KDE starts (and with it KOrganizer) I am asked again for login/password for the ftp connection, even though I klicked the "remember" function. After that I am being told by a pop-up that authorisation failed... but the connection works anyway, and it stores any changes I make also on the ftp server.
I think what contributed to this was the fact that I made a mistake the first time I entered the credentials. Even though I have repeatedly entered the correct data later, it seems to have stored only the first ones I entered. Now, I would like to make KDE forget that ftp connection with login/password. But where is this information stored? Which file do I need to delete to reset the information? Thanks for any hint! |

Assuming you use KWallet, open KWalletManager and search for the appropriate entry. It may not be under KOrganizer or Kontact though.

Many thanks - this helped a lot: I was NOT using KWallet and was not aware that I would need to in order to save my credentials (on *NIX I have used Gnome or XFCE for the past ~10 years).
