Hello,

normally kmail/kontact shows a short sender address in the message list (e.g. SyBorg), I would like to see the full "From" address (e.g. "SyBorg" <syborg@example.org>) for messages and grouping

I browsed all the options but couldn't find a way, dumb me? :<

That sounds to me as though you have Enterprise Headers set. Go to View -> Headers and set it to Fancy Headers.

That affects only the message preview, not the message list (had already tried)

Forgot to mention: Kubuntu 10.04, KDE 4.5.1, Kontact 4.4.6, KMail 1.13.5

True. I don't think it's possible to show the email address in the message list

Thanks for your interest annew, I'll post a request in the bug tracking system.

I think it can be annoying if, for example, there are many "John Doe" mailing me and I have to use tooltips or check every email to understand who they are
