How does one forward emails that contain attachments such as jpg files. When I try to forward the files are not on the forwarded email.

The KMail manual says attachments are forwarded as well. I tried this (I have KMail 1.13.2) and it does forward attachments. You can hit "f", click the Forward icon, or select message->forward->as attachment, which all forward the current message and its attachments.
