The problem I have encounter is I can not send email, but receiving is okay. I have gone through and setup the pop3 and smpt server in Kmail. when I try to send email. The error I got was a "Sending failed: your SMPT server does not support TLS. Disable TLS if you want to connect without encryption."

I am not sure where to disable TLS, and someone advise? thanks

Open KMail > Settings > Configure KMail. Change to the Servers > Sending tab. Edit the server you have listed, and change to the security tab. Select "Detect Automatically" and accept what KMail recommends.

Hello,

I am using the latest Kukunbu, no idea re : KDE

I can follow to config KMail - the rest is totally off the trail, there are no commands that you mention provided.

I cannot for the life of me disable TSL.

Please if you wouldn't mind providing a straight forward answer even if it is in the Konsole.

Another question - why do the developers make Linux so user unfriendly?

Try the following. Open KMail, Access the menu "Settings" and open "Configure KMail". From the left hand side bar, select "Accounts". You should now see two tabs, "Recieving" and "Sending" in the "Configure - KMail" window. Select the "Sending" tab.

Now, select the outgoing mail server you use from the "Outgoing accounts" list. This should enable the "Modify" button on the right hand side of the window. Click the "Modify" button.

A new window should now open. It will have two tabs on it, "General" and "Advanced". Select "Advanced". You should see a "Auto Detect" button now, press this. KMail should then proceed to ask your email server what options it supports.

Once it finishes, switch back to the previous "General" tab, and verify your Login and Password are both correct. Finally, press Ok on this window, and Ok on the "Configure - KMail" window. Your issue should now be fixed.
