Contact Data Disappears

Wed Nov 17, 2010 2:28 pm
Kubuntu 10.10 - KDE 4.5.1 - Kontact 4.4.6

I have two Address Books: "Address Book" and akonadi_googledata-resource_0. When I put some information in a contact's form (a phone, for example) of "Address Book", it is kept for a few seconds and then disappears. This error does not happen with akonadi_googledata_resource_0.

Searching for a solution, I came to the page http://userbase.kde.org/KAddressBook#Introduction and found that akonadi-resource Personal is not available in my system. The Akonadi Resources Configuration contains:

- Address Book (ready) (points to vCard at ~/.local/share/contacts/
- std.ics (ready) (points no nowhere - only Enable file monitoring is checked)
- Local Folders (ready) (points to nothing - the maildir folder dialog is empty)
- akonadi_googledata_resource_0 (ready)
- akonadi_gcal_resource_0 (ready)

Is the above configuration correct? Is my problem related to something wrong above?

TIA,

Remove the "std.ics" item, as it is invalid. Also, remove the "Address Book" and add a new one to replace it.
