I've just upgraded to 4.5.80 which I think is 4.6 in-waiting, now using kmail 2.0, (etc) looks very nice

However migration has only been partially successful.

kmail Inbox is fine, every other folder is empty

SOLVED use F5 to update each folder

Contacts looking good

calendar no information (other than anniversaries) migrated

to-do list empty

in every case except mail I got a one time error message indicating a failure to open the files from .kde4

any suggestions on doing a manual migration?

To fix this, you need to remove the migration created calendar and todo resources using "akonadiconsole", and create replacement ones.

These replacement resources should not have "traditional" in the name, as these are compatibility resources which will have more problems than proper resources.

Browse under ~/.kde4/ for the appropriate files to map to.
