Hello,
I just updated my OpenSuSE 11.4 M4 box to the latest packages, so I got KMail2. All my mail was stored in Kontact, so the first think I done after reboot was to launch it. The migration tool popped-up, all the mail seems to be correctly migrated (I had akonadi imap crash though, wich I reported on bugs.kde.org). Now KMail won't start. Each time I tryto launch KMail, the migration tool comes, stating that all accounts were already migrated and showing a "close" button. When I click it, the wizard disappears and KMail never kick in. Here is a screenshot of the migreation tool : http://imagebin.ca/view/eqcV27.html' I had the idea to launch KMail into the konsole and here is the output : > kmail kmail2(4075): Akonadi migration failed! kmail2(4075): command was: ("/usr/bin/kmail-migrator", "--interactive-on-change") kmail2(4075): exit code: 3 kmail2(4075): stdout: "" kmail2(4075): stderr: "" kde(4074): Communication problem with "kmail2" , it probably crashed. Error message was: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown" : " "The name org.kde.kmail2 was not provided by any .service files" " Any clues? |

Could be that the migrator is incorrectly reporting its state back to KMail.
You can do this to disable migration (can be re-enabled later in case this would ever be necessary). kwriteconfig --file kmail-migratorrc --group Migration --key Enabled --type bool false or edit kmail-migratorrc manually, setting Enabled=false in group [Migration] Cheers, _
