Hi together,
on the upgrade from KDE 4.5 to Beta 4.6 I lost most of my addressbook entries. I did not care so much because I still had my old non-Akonadi addressbook and thought it is a wast of time to try and recover. Now I realised that I changed more entries than I tought. Now I found out that /local/share/contacts contains roughly double the amount of files than I have in my addressbook, so I assume that the missing entries are there, but not in the Akonadi-database. A read me instructs me not to touch anything in that directory. The question is: Is there still a way to recover those entries without mixing everything up? Markum

Try adding a new address book of type personal contacts. It should be accessing the same data as the already existing personal contacts address book which you can then remove.
Cheers, _ P.S.: The original addressbook might still be in $HOME/.kde/share/apps/kabc/std.vcf
