I have recently upgraded my kubuntu 10.10 to kde4.6.
Since akonadi-kde-resource-googledata never eally worked correctly, (no automaic sync with gconatcts or gcal) I had been using TB for the last months. Now I would like to go back to Kontact. Here is my main issue. In the contacts sidebar I have three address books: - default - akonadi_googledata_resource 0 - akonadi_googledata_resource 1 I would like to get rid of the two - akonadi_googledata_resource's and start over again. They don't seem to be removable. I have removed google_resources from systemsettings_kede resources. What else must I do? Edit: One thing I did notice all three address books are stuck in "synching" mode and lock Kontact up after a while. |

I belive you need to run the AkonadiConsole a delete the resources from there.
Just give it a try. |

akonadi konsole does not let me delete:
- akonadi_googledata_resource 0 - akonadi_googledata_resource 1 All I can do is read what in in them. |

/usr/bin/kcmshell4 kcm_akonadi Or just ALT+F2 and Akonadi and Akonadi Configurarion should appear as a selection |

I have 2 computers, an old tx1000 notebook reborn from the ashes of a burnt NVIDIA southbridge, and a custom built PC that works better with Linux than with Windows. The notebook runs Kubuntu, the desktop Fedora. Both with KDE 4.6 and KDE PIM 4.94.
There are no akonadi-googledata packages for Fedora. OTOH, akonadi-googledata is packaged for Kubuntu. I downloaded tarballs from http://code.google.com/p/libgcal/ , to install the Akonadi resource in Fedora. On Fedora, Akonadi Googledata works like a dream. On Kubuntu... it's a nightmare. I get spurious error messages instead of a working resource. So, this, once more, looks like a "Kubuntu-specific KDE bug"™. Correct me if I'm wrong, or else the notebook will get Fedora. |

akonadi googledata work fine for me here (Archlinux). The only problem is that the name I set doesn't remain but it gets to "akonadi_googledata_resource 0" and alike...

Quote SyncMaster:
Don't have that. ![]() and Akonadi Config doesn't show either: - akonadi_googledata_resource 0 nor - akonadi_googledata_resource 1 These guys must be living somewhere else..
That sounds more like it. Will have to check launchpad for bugs. |
