hallo,
i have configured my pim as follows: i exported the old adress book, where all contact were in one file (std.vcf) in a vcard 3.0 file, where a new file was created for each contact. These new files were automatically named "FirstName_Surname".vcf during the exportation process. Then i moved all the files to folder in my home directory, soft-linked ~/.local/share/contacts to this folder and made it to an akonadi ressource. Now i have the problem that i cannot delete one of these contacts from the adress book. Although a deleted contact is no longer available in the adress book, there is still the "FirstName_Surname".vcf still exists, and as soon as i shutdown kde-kontact, restart the akonadi server and restart kde-kontact, the former deleted kontact is again available in the adress book. This behavior does not exist with contacts being created after making the folder to an akonadi ressource. These contacts appear in the folder also as single files, but being named "UID of the contact" without any file extension, and as soon as i deleted these contacts in the adress book, the file is being deleted to. has anyone an idea??? Thank you rexi |

Solved.
The problem is the export function in the adress book. The files of the contacts are named by the contact name with extension .vcf. Renaming all these file with the uid of the contact without any extensions, shuting down KDE-Kontact, restarting the akonadi and restarting KDE-Kontact lead to deletable contacts. However, this is not a good behaviour since KDE-Kontact and akonadi should also be able to handle file named in the above mentioned manner Rexi |

I would suggest filing a bug report in this case.
