Good day all,
Sorry to be pain, if this is an FAQ I apologise I cant for the life of me work out how to show events I put into korganiser, in the plasma calender that pops up when i click the clock in the bottom right of the screen. I'm sure I've read on blogs and other sites that its possible to do, but I just cant work it out any ideas please?? Martin |

Which version of KDE are you using? This may only work seamlessly if you are using an Akonadi enabled calendar....

For now, it seems only to work if you:
1. Use a akonadi-based calendar as bcooksley says AND 2. Use KDE SC 4.5.x. I have as yet been unable to get the plasma-calendar to show those events in SC 4.6.0 but they showed without a problem in 4.5.x. I think (can't find the post now though( I saw someone mention that it's a regression that is supposed to be solved in 4.6.1 so I hope that's correct.

I'm actually using 4.6.1, and just the standard clock in the bottom right of the screen, is that akonadi enabled? or do I need a different one?
I have put a couple of events and todo's in korganiser, are they just meant to show up automatically or do I need to enable something? Thanks Martin |

I wonder can anybody recommend an Akonadi enabled calendar I can use on my desktop? Martin |

I do not know if that is possible yet. However there is the eventlist plasmoid, which lists events and their dates. I would link to it, put kde-look etc. seem to be down at the moment. edit: It seems you are right there are some blog posts, e.g. http://vizzzion.org/blog/2010/08/demystifying-akonadi/ but it probably needs kdepim >= 4.5.

Thanks for the info on that eventlist plasmoid, there is even an F14 x86_64 rpm for it which is exactly what I use, unfortunatly when I right click on it and click "select shown resources" it crashes my plasma-desktop
I might try and compile it from source. but anyway I guess I'll wait for the clock calendar to start working again in future releases. Thanks again guys Martin |
