I've been using Thunderbird so far but I wanted to migrate to KMail because it integrates better with KDE (obviously).
However, I can't seem to find the option to make KMail support the IMAP PUSH notification i.e. when I receive an email, I'd get an instant notification in Thunderbird and on my android phone, but on KMail I have to click the "Check Mail" button. Is it possible to get instant notifications in KMail too? Also, I keep getting this error
when clicking the [GMail] folder in KMail. Any help would be appreciated! |

kmail from kde-4.4 (current stable) does not yet support IMAP PUSH. This is only supported by the current kmail-beta. If this feature is important, you need to test kmail-beta.

I've downloaded the source, but unfortunately I don't know how to compile it :/ I've tried the regular ./configure make make install, but that didn't do the trick. Help? Thanks

KDE uses CMake to configure, build and install it's sources.
Instructions are available on KDE Techbase.
