Hello - I'm using PC-BSD 8.1 with KDE 4.4.5
When you type into KNotes, your info/data is saved automatically. I would like to know the Path where the *Actual KNotes Files* are stored so that I can access them with Dolphin. Twice I have had a problem with KNotes. Last week, the KNotes icon was not on the KDE Panel. Now the icon is on the Panel, but when I left-click the icon, it shows "(Notes)/(No Notes)". My list of KNotes is missing. When I right-click the icon, the "Show All Notes" option is grayed out / inactive. I found the KNotes application at: /usr/local/kde4/share/applications/kde4/knotes.desktop --------- KDE Knotes Help says: Configure Resources "KNotes can use multiple resources for loading and storing its contacts. After starting KNotes for the first time you will have a default resource installed that saves all notes in a file under $HOME/.kde/share/apps/knotes/notes.ics" /usr/home/1/.kde4/share/apps/knotes/notes.ics = 102 B Clicking on notes.ics opens up Korganizer. In this Folder: /home/1/.kde4/share/apps/knotes/notes/ I found files with names similar to this: libkcal-88023706.456 But when I opened them, they were not the actual files with the info I had typed. They have info concerning file configuration: [Display] RememberDesktop=false bgcolor=0,0,255 fgcolor=255,255,255 ~ snip ~ [General] version=3.9 ~ snip ~ ---------- There is nothing about the path or location of the file. ----- At http://userbase.kde.org/KNotes I found basic info on KNotes. It would be nice if it showed the path to the application, and the path to the actual KNotes files. A search of the forum did not help. I would appreciate help. Thanks. |

I suggest checking ~/.kde4/share/apps/knotes/ if it exists. Alternately, look for the "notes" resource in System Settings > Personal Information > KDE Resources.
