I tryed to enable the ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports but I'm really not confortable of installing software from there...
as I refresh KPackageKit with the new source, KPackageKit says there are nearly 20 update packages "blocked"

I don't know what this means, but it sounds bad

I love KDE, but I think that my next installation will be a Ubuntu LTS (not Kubuntu)
In my work-station I need stability and I can't loose all this time on distro bugs.

At the end of the story I tryed to update my kubuntu 10.04 with the ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports and... all my bugs all still there!!!

Very happy about it!
