By all means, let us have clarification!

No, what I believed I said was that Akonadi was no longer crashing when I shut the machine down at night, which it had been doing, say 60% of the time.

It is *possible* that KMail may no longer be wiping the component folders out, since it hasn't done it for three days, but that doesn't mean that it won't tomorrow, or a week from now, since the problem has been that sporadic. It has gone, occasionally, for as long as a month without doing it. Then it will do it three days in a row, or interspersed with short periods of happiness.

So, no, I cannot say that the problem has gone away, just that it hasn't happened in the last three days.
