I was hoping that Start and Due would function as in Lotus, so that a task would become visible when it became doable, and would continue to be doable until due. I have OpenSUSE 11.3, KDE Platform Version 4.4.4 (KDE 4.4.4) "release 3", KOrganizer version 4.4.9-2.3.1 and have yet to work out what I achieve by setting a Start date. It seems to be ignored for the Kontact Summary of Pending To-dos, there's no column for it in the To-do List and Searching for a Date Range only seems to find the Due date. Am I doing something wrong? Can anybody please explain what the Start does? Better still, can anybody explain how I can achieve what I want?

This has never worked correctly. Believe it or not we argued for this in 2004! https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75652
The only work-around I have found is to use Advanced Reminders - to pop up a reminder each day of the task period. Sorry, it's far from ideal, but I've found nothing better.
