Hi All,

I'd like to move all my Kontact stuff (emails, address book, calendar etc etc) onto a new machine.
Currently its a desktop pc with Kubuntu 8.04 (kde 3.5.10)
I've built a laptop with Kubuntu 10.04 (kde 4.4.5), but whats the best way to transfer everything in Kontact?
Are they compatible between KDE 3 and 4 anyway?

Apologies in advance if there's something obvious that I missed :)

Thanks
Martin.

KDE 4.4 uses the pre-akonadi stack, so it should be fine.
First - make a backup.

Then create a new user account on the new system, and outside of KDE on both machines transfer ~/.kde/, ~/.config and ~/.local to the new system.
