KMail re-download the same old messages

patata Registered Member Posts 23 Karma 0	KMail re-download the same old messages Mon Jun 20, 2011 2:12 pm Hi, I run Kontact 4.4.8 (KDE 4.4.5) with multiple accounts. For one of these, KMail can't stop downloading a list of ~50 pretty old messages (2008-2010) that have already been checked... Is there any reason for this? thanks!

This account has the exact same settings as the others: + Keep messages on the server - all other options of the POP config page I do not have any "Download new messages only" dialog box.

Anyway, for setup where messages should remain on the server it is highly recommended to use an account meant for doing that, i.e. using a form of IMAP. Most providers that offer large enough mailboxes for that to make sense also have an option to access the mailboxes via IMAP. Cheers, _ anda_skoa, proud to be a member of KDE forums since 2008-Oct.
