Here is the official info from google clendar and CalDAV http://www.google.com/support/calendar/ ... 58#sunbird

Well, thanks for all your posts and help. I finally gave up on this.
Never made it work, even after reinstalling, reconfiguring. After a reboot all calendar data is gone. I completely wiped everything KDE-PIM related from my computer and use the online google calendar now to sync with my phone. For my daily use that is enough and most of all it is hassle free. Maybe I will look into Kontact and co. in one or two years again. I believe that this is one of the parts of KDE where it is simply not fully matured yet (besides and not questioning all the efforts which are taken for sure).

I'm having this problem also. I forces me to use Thunderbird for now although I prefer Kontakt being a KDE user. I really hope the Google Calendar implementation can be fixed asap. It has been broken since back in 2010. That is too long for something as important as this. I will try the CalDav approach though before I give up on Kontact for now.

When i first installed Akonadi, only contacts were able to be synced. But when i would enter my gmail credentials to sync the calendar, it would say i entered incorrect password.

But today, it synced. :)

I followed this guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmTKfvf8wBg

I wonder, is it possible for someone new to KDE/Korganizer to be able to sync their google calendar without having to google for instructions?
