Using KDE 4.6.4 on fully updated PCLinuxOS.
Every so often, especially in the middle of doing something, KDE Wallet pops up a dialog box stating that Akonadi Resource needed to access a wallet, and asks for the wallet's password. Prior to updating to KDEPim 4.6.0, KMail quietly checks email in the background and reports on the notification area if there are new mails. Is there any way to set KDE Wallet to allow Akonadi Resources to access a wallet without popups and passwords? Thank you in advance for any assistance. Archie

You need to adjust the configuration of KDE Wallet to remain open. To do this, go to System Settings > Account Details > KDE Wallet. Ensure that all three "Close when..." boxes are unchecked.
If you want to be able to manually close it when needed, ensure "Show manager in system tray" is checked. You will be able to right click on the icon when needed and select "Close all wallets". The wallets will also all be closed when you logout.

Thank you for your prompt reply, bcooksley. All three "Close when..." boxes are already unchecked and "Show manager in system tray" as well as "Hide system tray icon when wallet last wallet closes" are both checked. I will try "Close all wallets" and see what happens. Much appreciate it. Archie

You might need to check one of the boxes. Assuming your screen saver is rarely activated, try checking that box.
Also, check under the "Access Control" tab in the same place to see if Akonadi is somehow not on a "Always Allow" status.

I have "Prompt when an application ..." unchecked and all applications are set to "Always Allow".
I quit and relaunched KMail and all seems good. I am also going to try and Quit the KWallet Manager and see what happens.
