Contacts Sync

Wed Jul 06, 2011 8:40 pm
Wondering if anyone has experimented with a successful way to merge or sync data from various contact sources into one viewable contact list?

Example, I have Facebook info enabled thru akonadi (thanks!). So that contact has a picture, but no email address or maybe no phone number.... But my personal contacts book (also enabled thru akonadi, thanks again!) Has the email address & phone number, but no picture.

So, any plans in the works to offer an addressbook option to combine or merge "like" data?

One of this year's Google Summer of Code students is working on contact aggregation, i.e. merging contact data from various sources into single "person" data.

E.g. see http://martys.typepad.com/blog/2011/07/ ... erson.html

Cheers,
